Bob Rabbit's Weekly Carrot
Every artists dream is to have complete control of their own musical destiny. Realistically though, there are certain aspects of being a musician that typically require outside help. Especially recording, mixing and mastering music. For RIVIR artist Bob Rabbit though, this is not the case.
Bob Rabbit is a 25 year old multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, producer, engineer and philanthropist based out of Phoenix, AZ who lives his life in the name of "Art, Compassion & Humanity." Unlike many other artists Bob Rabbit is able to write, produce, mix, master and release all of his own music. Every Wednesday, which he has now dubbed "Bump Day," Bob Rabbit creates a one minute song out of whatever "instrument", or object he feels like using that day. Is he using a coffee can, a bed side fan and a banjo? That's usually all he needs. After he decides on his materials he films himself making the beat, mixes, masters it and distributes it to the world. My description doesn't even mildly do "Bump Day" justice, so please click here to watch a few of his "Bump Days."
In addition to his weekly "Bump Day" videos Bob Rabbit has also set out to give his fans a "Carrot" every week. I'm not talking about the orange carrot that you dip into a delicious hummus. No. I'm talking about a brand new song, or sometimes even a whole project from Bob Rabbit. EVERY WEEK. Typically it takes artists anywhere from 3 months to 2 years to write, record and release new music, but Bob Rabbit has taken it to a whole new level and is doing one project a week. So far Bob Rabbit has shipped out 6 fantastic singles and 2 entire EP's. Ladies and gents, that is 17 songs in a matter of 6 weeks....
And the best thing about Bob Rabbit is his variety in style. You are getting something new with every "Carrot" Bob Rabbit delivers. In his project "Katie" he released, we see a stripped down, softer side of Bob almost reminiscent of a Mac Demarco style. And the next thing you know Bob Rabbit drops a beat so hard your neck almost snaps. Words don't do any of his music justice, so please do yourself a favor and check out all of his music now right here.
In addition to being one of the best up and coming artists in the country, Bob Rabbit also started a non-profit where he raises money to equip young producers in Haiti with computers. If you feel inclined to help him on this mission visit his website.
